.careerfair.

Assalamualaikum.

Last Sunday, I went to the annual UKEC-Graduan Career Fair, which was held at Lancaster Hotel, London. I departed from Leeds around 6am and arrived there around 10am. I'm not really a fan of the huge major city- London as Central London is relatively crowded and have a lot of people moving around, compared to Leeds. But, sometimes it is rather fun to have a sweet time there and spend some time with friends from other universities.

From my point of view, I think the career fair was a huge success, as it was really crowded the whole day! My friends and I managed to visit some engineering-related companies such as Intel, Shell, Samsung and UEM. Besides that, there were also talks by a minister and top figures in the companies involved in the fair. Since it was a very tiring day, then we treated ourselves with delicious food in Tinseltown, Bayswater.

The following day I attended an interview with Intel Malaysia. It was my first experience to attend a job  (internship) interview and that job interview have changed my perception towards interviews once and for  all (okay, thats kinda over). The interview session lasted for about 40 minutes. Instead of 'typical' interview questions, the interviewer asked technical questions, in particular my first year modules questions (serius tak ingat). He also asked about projects which I have or currently doing, and that have really hit me rock bottom. He questioned this and that, this and that, until I can come out with a proper solution for the faults I made in the project. I was really shocked and surprised with my first ever job interview, but the interview really have opened up my mind to improve my current project and future work as well.

P/S: maybe it wasn't the right time.
