The eid holidays have already ended days ago. What I can summarize from the holidays is people really do change after Ramadan. I mean, really change. You can shield your stomach during the fasting month, but when the first day of Syawal arrived, there you go! Your stomach changes. Your weight increases. Your face become chubby-er. But anyway, alhamdulillah, all praise to Allah, who gave us these nikmat :)
During the holidays (and any other weekends), I got the chance to spend some time with my father, particularly when I was asked to drive him to the musolla or hardware shops. When I drive, I sometimes recall the days when I was a kid. I used to sit on the seat that he sits now and vice-versa, plus I would also listen to his chat which are usually about his school days, college days and so forth.

Another thing which is hard to forget is the music that he used to play in the car back then (and now). He would play songs from his time and eventually I managed to sing those songs and remember the lyrics. Some of his favorite songs, include songs from Sharifah Aini and Queens.
A few days ago, when I was driving a car with him, the song "Yesterday Once More" by The Carpenters was aired by a local radio station. I really enjoy this number since I was a kid. As the song was aired, he talked about the singers of this song. From what he said, The Carpenters is an American vocal and instrumental duo consists of a brother and a sister, whom are Karen and Richard Carpenter. Karen usually remembered for her vocals, where as Richard for his ability using musical instruments.
However, I was a bit surprised and sad when my father said that Karen suffered from heart failure and died at a very young age.
Anyway, do enjoy the song.
Till then,
Wailalliqa' maassalamah.
best la lagu syahin:)
